To my knowledge, this guy is alright. He's just got the stuffing knocked of him. I really hope the guy who did it gets fined and more. There was a similar hit to Hasslebeck during the Seahawks game which got a personal foul.

I live in Cincinnati, and I'd seen the hit once in replay, but not slowed down like this.
I know Bungles fans here who were saying it was a clean hit, but there's no more reason to hit a QB when he's sliding than there is to throw him down when he's in the grasp. The offending defender should be fined/suspended.

I don't understand American Football so I'll just be a tourist.

for non-north american's, the fellow with the ball is sliding to purposely 'down' himself where he was (a frequent and expected move by a person in the position of 'quarterback'), but the other gentleman decided he'd take the opportunity to see if he couldn't break his neck for no real reason.

I look at the last angle of the slow-mo and say "clean". He saw the QB coming and went down for a block, prior to (or exactly when) the QB starting in on his "slide". It's easy to take a slow-mo and think of it as real time, but it's not reality.
