Fjnbksays...*music, for the Beethoven's Ninth.
*promote, for being an excellent video.
siftbotsays...Promoting this video and sending it back into the queue for one more try; last queued Saturday, June 14th, 2008 12:08am PDT - promote requested by Fjnbk.
Adding video to channels (Music) - requested by Fjnbk.
RhesusMonksays...*doubleinfinitypromote!!! This is amazing! I can't wait to teach high school bio! I saw a great bumper sticker a few weeks ago. It reads: "We have the fossils. We win." This video isn't evidence, but it delineates the probability of evidence. Who's your daddy? Szostak is your daddy.
gorillamansays...Awesometacular.
shuacsays...But it's just so much easier to say that "god created everything," isn't it?
videosiftbannedmesays...What fascinates me is the prospect of possible abiogenesis from other forces besides thermodynamic, electrical and mechanical. Or even just variations in evolution. Take plants for example; we know that plants are alive, but they are inherently different from us in basic structure. Same with insects, as compared to a warm-blooded mammal. What forms of life are out there that we have yet to find? What could they look like? Or even better yet, what forms of life are still here in our present "field of view" that we have yet to recognize?
Love stuff like this.
Mixastersays...Probably the best explanation I've seen. Obviously there's a lot going on under the surface, but as a succinct argument, this video excels.
gorillamansays...I've been going through this guy's other videos; they're generally excellent.
spoco2says...I understood maybe half of that, but big thumbs up for the half I did understand and for reiterating the spiel that creationists like to spout about evolution not explaining the beginning of life
Trancecoachsays...And yet somehow we are driven into the past by archaic religious notions built upon the foundation of superstition and political correctness.
