DrewNumberTwosays...I never understood why military guys would spend so much time doing something that is basically twirling a baton.
entr0pysays...Isn't this standard baton twirling of the kind teen girl squads perfect at band camp? I'd imagine basic club juggling has got to be more difficult.
garmachisays...Tradition. This goes way way back. It's purely ceremonial, but it's one off many old traditions practiced by armed forces everywhere. I imagine it has its origins in boredom, but it's pretty spectacular when done right. Plus, among servicemen, it showcases precision and discipline, things of which soldiers are proud.

siftbotsays...Tags for this video have been changed from 'rifle, throw, drill, performance, drill platoon, m1 garand, bayonet' to 'rifle, throw, drill, performance, drill platoon, m1 garand, bayonet, norway' - edited by calvados
RFlaggjokingly says...Yes the toss adds an element of cool, but what is the guy front right holding? An invisible gun? It doesn't even cast a shadow... the British have cloaking technology and everyone is paying attention to the wrong thing... wake up sheeple.
smoomansays...batons with fucking knives attached to em!

aimpointjokingly says...This is how they make people make the cut in the guard.
ChaosEnginesays...So clearly the army recruiting has it all wrong. They should be targeting cheerleaders
