xxovercastxxsays...I used to use this trick as a kid when I was working on my bike.
BoneRemakesays...Holy shit.. I am glad I had a daddy who taught me some shop basics.
To think that people over 20 might just be learning this for the first time actually surprised me. So I am being serious.
Little tricks like that help a great deal when you work with tools.
PHJFsays...Isn't the point of an awkwardly placed nut/bolt that there ISN'T ENOUGH ROOM to do something like this?
robbersdog49says...If you're going to do this, make sure you have a decent set of wrenches. The people who are learning this from a YouTube video probably don't. There's going to be a lot of broken tools and scuffed knuckles from this!
braschlosansays...The wrenches WILL BREAK unless you're a woman. The extension wrench is getting force applied through its narrow side where as the original wrench is getting force through its wide side.
chingalerasays...cheap-ass drop-forged wrenches will break all day long...Try breaking some Snap-On flank drive wrenches doing this....dare ya...you'll twist the head of that bolt off before the wrench will bend.

braschlosansays...Ill take a picture if the Snap-On guy hasn't given us a new one yet. I also broke the end off a screw driver using the hex shaft on it with a wrench
braschlosansays...Forgot to click the quote button on my last post.
But you're right that harbor freight tools will help you to sacrifice blood to the automotive god, thus ensuring the project is a success

dannym3141says...I'm not sure how i'd feel about potentially ruining an edge of the wrench though. I feel like it would, i'd certainly be concerned about doing it.
radxsays...Reminds me of this.
