Bah, if the British wouldn't have been such pussys and gone french on their royals' asses (or, actually, their heads), all their land would have been the state's anyway. But I admit that they get a boost for tourism, although the number seemed a little high, gonna hafta double-check that.

I would have to guess the biggest reason for American tourists going to the UK over France has far more to do with the language barrier than the Royals.

How do we know that people come for the Royal Family? I think that's BS, just get rid of them the castles will be more interesting without all the restrictions.

EDIT: Yeah this guy has no fucking evidence backing up his shit claims...we don't go to France because we're conditioned from birth that they're smelly and gay and awful. Give me one statistic that says Americans give a shit about the Queen when they go over there...because with all my traveling experience I haven't met one fucking person who does.
