The Origin of Life made easy

Contrary to popular arguments the origins of life and the evolution of it are NOT the same subject. Abiogenesis explores the origins of life, evolution the development of it once it was here. Separate issues. This is a quick and "made easy" look at abiogenesis from a scientific perspective and put in layman's terms.

This is a really good video, because it explains abiogenesis instead of evolution. Many people think that evolution is the origin of life - not helped by Darwin's poor title choice.

Abiogenesis covers step 0 to step 1, and evolution covers step 1 to infinity.

Now that I've watched this video, I've started to appreciate my 9th grade biology teacher on a whole new level despite her tendency to freak out occasionally for inappropriate behavior (laughing) and indecent clothing (shorts). Thing is - as far as I can remember, in a couple of lessons she covered EVERYTHING this video did, although unfortunately she was a little less hostile towards ignorant beliefs (she mentioned religions in general and said that, for some reason some people want to draw up other 'theories').
