During a manned mission to Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew. With only meagre supplies, Watney must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive. Well... that wasn't GLADOS who said that it was the Space Core, which is a personality core. If I recall correctly he was one of the rejected cores that get added to Wheatley (sp?) to make him lose control. His lines include how he wants to go back to Earth...

Anyhow, I may have to reread the book once I'm done with Seveneves by Neil Stephenson... I just read Ready Player One, which is another great book being turned into a movie soon. I believe that one is being done by Stephen Spielberg...
