After all these trailers something's beginning to bother me. Many of these scenes look a bit "stagy" which is a poor way of saying they don't look particularly believable or cinematic. I'm not sure why but there's something in the way Nolan does action/crowd scenes that looks a bit flimsy, as though you can begin to see everyone as extras and the sets as sets.

Maybe it needs better editing or photography in the first place. I know I'm grasping but there's a sense of unreality here.

Hey and wasn't Bane this huge monster with tanks or something? This Bane just looks like a regular guy.

I don't really get that, regarding the "stagy" look. Besides Nolan uses the same cinematographer, Wally Pfister, on all his films, and The Dark Knight, Inception etc, were nothing short of breathtaking visually. So trust in them.

Regarding Bane. Nolan's Batman films have always been more grounded in reality. A huge CG like Bane pumped full of steroids would destroy the feel and groundedness of Nolan's Gotham. Bane is still very much like the comics though. Brutal. Highly intelligent. Cunning. Deadly.>> ^Deano:

It doesn't help that I hated Inception and found Dark Knight rather tedious with the overkill terrorist theme.
I loved Memento and the look of that film but this action stuff and the blend of CGI and live-action doesn't scream eye candy to me.

I played against Bane in that Batman game by the way and I just kept dodging out of his way. Dude's an idiot!

The Bane we see in this movie seems to be a very different animal compared to the version of Bane we saw in Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. I guess Nolan doesn't do wrestling mask wearing roid monsters, and I admit it wouldn't seem his style either. I did get my ass handed to me at first by Bane in Asylum as I'm kinda slow with console style control schemes, I'm a mouse and keyboard user at heart.

I did, but I still used my xBox controller. The game's designed for that and not KB/MS.

Oh I did get it for the PC, but that is one of those games that just doesn't translate well to keyboard and mouse so I also have a 360 controller that I use for some games. I am also looking forward to the new movie, especially since I've seen everything else that has come out so far.

Am I the only one who's loving that music on the background of the trailer, with the chanting and whatnot? Love it!

I've had a similar reaction to these trailers as @Deano. Something isn't quite right. Difficult to suspend disbelief, even though they are only trailers. Everything just looks like a set, especially the big outdoor scenes, and the CGI in the football game scene is terrible. I really liked the first two movies, but I'm not interested in this one at all.

I think the only reason I watch trailers is for the trailer music.
