well, i remember this was on the news here in europe in the 90s. as far as i remember, it was an air france airbus that was somehow modified but it flew WITH pilots. they were killed in the crash.

I love the voice at the end going "Oh noo, oh noo, oh nooo."

i saw a discovery thing on this a while back... i don't know about the pilots thing, but it was an automated landing, and apparently it picked up the treeline as the ground, rather than the actual ground.

this being a test flight, and for how long the plane was skimming the trees, i would think that if there were live pilots on board, they'd take back control.
