The Actual Costs of the War in Iraq, Misplaced Priorities?

The President keeps asking for MORE money for the wars in the Middle East... $46 billion more dollars to be exact, $200 billion for this year alone... CNN looks at how this money could be better spent at home, as well as where this money is coming from, and which nations we are racking up a debt with.

The BBC today also ran a story about the hidden costs of the war, based on a report set to be released to Congress, in which they state that "the wars have cost $1.5 trillion - almost twice the requested $804bn (£402bn) - because of 'hidden costs'", and "that the campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan have cost the average US family of four more than $20,000".
ravensays...

I find it amusing/pathetic that the next story immediately after this one is about a new audio tape purportedly released by bin Laden... is CNN also stooping to Neo-Con scare tactics?
