Teleoperation Of RC Car Using Wraparound Screen

We just had a cylindrical dome installed at our office! Our Player now supports calibrating a dome with several projectors and short-latency rendering to domes.

Our initial tests indicate that teleoperation in a dome outperforms other screen alternatives like flat screens or VR headsets.

Stay tuned to follow the results when we get into some more professional testing on this topic and others;

- How does latency impact, and where are the thresholds for driving at various speeds?

- How important is Field of View for driving in truly narrow environments like mines?

----------------

Can teleoperation outperform human presence? We believe so, and that's our mission!

Voysys develops a 3D render engine optimised for ultra short latency when handling massive volumes of video in real time.

The engine is used for teleoperation of cars, trucks and machines, but also for high-end live 360°/VR broadcasting in up to 8K.
