THE Ron Paul Rebuttal

One for all you Paultards (and maybe some of you who aren't), Ron's response of the night. (BTW, I'm am proud to call myself a Paultard).

Poor Ron Paul. You make such great points, but your competition has better charisma. That's all that America seems to care about. Guess we'll have sh%t on the right or sh%t on the left to choose from again.

he's waking good deal of the population up to the truth and the reality of the situation. the message is more important than how well he does in the elections.
it's the people that don't agree with him that are the tards, the Non-Paultards.

Rudy Gulianni, after dropping out of the presidential race that "Ron Paul has won every Republican Debate this race." It is painfully obvious that this is true. To the American People. WTF??

It is unfortunate that our country has gone down the road of a facist police state, to no fault of their citizens other than a lack of involvment in the politcal process.

I can't stand the way the remaining candidates look at Ron Paul when he speaks. It's that same look of gentile condemnation that they give everyone who doesn't "get" the neo-Con Republican model of thought. "You poor little guy, you just don't understand the whole picture..."

Paul has made more sense than anyone in the last 30 years and unfortunately, he most likely won't win the Presidency. I'm not looking forward to the next term...even if we are finally rid of that fucking monkey we got in there now.

it's interesting to hear how the republican party has changed over the years and quite sad that the majority of newer (newish?) republicans don't know what their party used to stand for.

They give him that smiling "poor thing" look to really take all seriousness out of his statements and im going to have to disagree with JC. I dont think his message is getting out there nearly as much as you think it is. Of course here on the sift it would seem surprising that he has barely ranked in really any states primary but the reality is not only will he lose and lose bad but no one will remember him afterwards or care once he's gone. Now I dont mean to be negative. I was pulling for him the whole way, you guys were the first to show me his ideas and i wouldnt of known about him if it wasnt for the sift. He was the only candidate that I could catch myself nodding to when he spoke, who could inspire me. Call it being jaded or losing hope but I have come to the realization that America doesnt give a shit, its sad but true. He can make all the sense in the world (which he does) but it just doesnt matter, period. It pains me to say it too, I really wanted the Revolution to happen, I really thought this would be the catalyst that would "wake" people up but all I see is we are still asleep and we dont want to be disturbed and its depressing to feel that that isnt going to change anytime soon

I don't understand certain aspects of the policies and such that he talks about, because i'm not american. However. This dude CLEARLY knows what he's talking about, he's bang on with almost everything i've ever heard him say, america needs an intelligent knowledgeable dude like him to get some credability back.

wait...McCain said that we need to have troops in Iraq even if it takes a 100 years? ONE HUNDRED YEARS??? WOW. Yea this is the type of practical thinking I'd like to see in a president. He seriously said that? Was that just taken out of context? If he really did say it, why hasn't he been lynched yet?

jwraysays...

Ron Paul is right about this, but he's wrong about eliminating funding for domestic welfare programs. Free high-quality education for all is the greatest public good ever conceived, and pays for itself in the long run by causing economic growth (tax base growth).

He wants education left to the states...taking the federal government out of the equation is not a bad thing. The federal department of education did not exist until about 1980. It doesn't seem to me that education in this country got any better since the feds decided to get involved and it has forced a "one size fits all" solution on education which is not a good thing.

Here's the context. I'm not going to sift it as it's a bad camera angle and I really despise the man, but I'd say it's taken a *bit* out of context. He includes the caveats that he wouldn't mind "a presence there" as long as there are no American injured / killed. Pretty big caveats, but they don't necessarily mean he wouldn't keep ground forces there long enough to make those conditions possible, even if it does take 100 years. I wouldn't put it past him frankly.

I like Ron Paul, I just don't like all of his policies (I kinda like federal funds for public schools, and would love to see single-payer national healthcare attempted). That stinks, because I'm not a big fan of the two remaining dems (they're ok, but not my first or 2nd choices from that party) and I don't like any of the other republicans. Ah well. I may throw my vote his way just because I feel it'll do more good than picking between the dems. And I would *love* to see the later debates between him and Barack or Hillary.

ron paul has rock solid points that nobody could argue with, that can be expressed in one simple sentence. so.... he should just repeat that one sentence instead of this exasperated flapping around. it's just toooo many worrrrrdddsss.

what would they say if he just said:
"we can't afford our empire. the war was illegal."

don't fluff it up. slowwwww dowwwwn.

Yeah, it's a shame he has no chance of winning. He's given no real press coverage and nearly every major newspaper scrubs him out. Even my local paper, the Orlando Sentinel, intentionally scrubs all coverage. I have to go into the forums to put information about him since they won't. Oh well, people in power don't like change, so they will do everything possible to preserve their way of life.
