Sushi: The Japanese Tradition.

Snappysays...

aw man! I laugh my way through! hahaha ... good one!
I've been to Japan and have some Japanese friends, and its really comical to see the every scenario played out in such a "systematic" manner!

Oh my god... Preparing food on footwear, telling the chef the food tastes good just for edutacion, endangered species as a recommendation, the "maa maa maa maa" "ootho tho tho tho".... The list keeps growing!

The only thing I liked was the systematic use of angles, THAT is something I have absolutely no problem with.

good to know this one got added.

it was actually off of google video for a while but got put back up recently. btw...don't ever fuck w/ the salt outside of one of those places. it's to appease the spirits _ _.

this is by "rahmens". their short films are very stylish and funny. one of the first famous things they did was "japanese lessons for foreigners" that was made into a popular flash animation: http://www.in-duce.net/archives/shinbashi.swf

most of the recent rahmens videos don't have subtitles (yet), so they're not good for videosift. but i just posted a short one about a new calendar for the world. it's in french with japanese voiceover. it probably makes sense even without understanding the language, but i put the translation in the comments.

here it is: http://www.videosift.com/story.php?id=9464

I guess maybe I missed the point, but I see this as a pseudo-serious social commentary. Obviously, it is meant to be funny, but the makers of the clip are also trying to make a statement about Japanese stereotypes.
