depends which cartoons.. the ones on CN or Fox Kids - true... the ones in the theaters? i don't think so... +these tunes were overdrawn on real photo shots... (in some ways its similar to what they are doing with motion capture... they just dont do it by hand now:)

i used to really enjoy these old superman cartoons. interesting framing of shots and shadowy film noir angles, and of course the smooth framerate of the animation is awesome. I want to go watch Akira now.

It's better than most production-line crap like Fox or Nick fer sure.

In its own way, this cartoon is superior to the new Superman movie. When you see the latter, you'll know what I mean.

i love the way the narrators voices sounded back then...

and much better than tv animation.
