I used Nikon D4, at ISO 6400.
24mm f/1.4G lens at f/2.0 or f/1.4.

Videos just don't do the sky justice when compared to viewing for real. That view is filling the WHOLE sky with light.

No wonder ancient northmen associated this with activities of the gods.
