Comedy IS subjective, but should it not be subject to it being amusing in some way? This guy, from my subjective view point, is as amusing as my tax bill.

Gotta love the critics who insist on sharing their disapproval, as if to say to everybody who did enjoy something, that they are beneath the critic in some way. The rest of us clearly operate on a lower plain of understanding and poor judgement. Thank you for pointing that out. I've never found his stand up all that entertaining. It's just a series of unamusing ramblings. Which is strange cause he wrote for The Day Today. Maybe Chris Morris and Armando Iannucci carried him

I guess I just don't understand the motivation to post a message that says nothing more than "I don't like this.". It's as pointless and lame as the "First!" message. Is that really all you have to contribute on this topic? Maybe it's just a way to get attention by being contrary for no discernible reason.

I think maybe it seemed like you were referring to Stewart Lee and his critiquing, that's what I thought at first. I agree with you on posting a comment just to say you hate something, save your time, move on. But sometimes people just need to let the rage out

Yes and from my subjective viewpoint he's really funny. My point was, just because I posted it in comedy doesn't mean everyone will find it funny, so the best thing to do would be to stop waiting and find something you appreciate

This is brilliant, stewart lee is a legend, and if you don't find him funny then it really is your fault.
