I thought it was an extra $10/month over the existing iphone contract, which is to say $30/month (existing is $20/month).

I just want to know what kind of hoops I have to jump through with AT&T to upgrade to the new phone...

I think you're right, we already pay $20 for access, that makes more sense. Just went over this with my sister, I stand corrected.

Hmmh. I disliked the first iPhone for the lack of 3G and the huge price tag, but now that it's been made VERY affordable, has 3G and GPS to boot, I think I will have to invest in the 8g version even though I'm not a great fan of touch screens.

This piece of crap has nothing on the Nokia N series, like N95/96.

The N95 has Wifi, 5.1 megapixel camera WITH flash, plus all the features of the iPhone and then some.

199 dollars world wide??! Wow that means it's like 100 euro nearly. That's damned cheap for a phone of that quality.
Might get one even though I don't really like apple.

No $100 store credit for the suckers who bought the first (less efficient) Iphone for $100 more than the 3G? I'm in the wrong business, man.
