This actually makes me more excited than the new movie trailer. I've been burned by too many Star Wars movies in the past, while most Star Wars games that I've played were at least serviceable if not quite enjoyable. I can't wait to drive some speeders through Endor...if only you could target some Ewoks.
Nice to see they brought the robot camels to the forest this time. ;-)

At the very end, after the playstation logo, it reads "FROSTBITE GAME ENGINE FOOTAGE REPRESENTATIVE OF PLAYSTATION 4. NOT ACTUAL GAMEPLAY.".

So while it may be rendered in-engine, the wording makes it sound like this wasn't done on a PS4 and it's more like an in-engine cutscene, using animations, effects, and physics that won't be seen in the actual gameplay.

ChaosEnginesays...

Yeah, but it'll look epic on PC.

Paybacksays...

They were there, the rebels just tried to avoid them.

Case in point, when Luke surrendered to Vader, there was an AT-AT thumping around.

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag.(show it anyway)

Also, whats the point of in-engine footage if doesn't show any actual gameplay. Looked like cut-scenes. Still looks cool.

Disney just knows how to put intellectual property to work! That bitch is a hive mother. Little star wars and marvel babies forever.

My hope is that Storm and Elsa hook up. When they make love it creates an ice storm that covers the planet, creating an ice age -- and it turns out that the only thing that saves humanity from this ice age is global warming. And everyone loves republicans and celebrates their fore knowledge, which is actually wizard knowledge, of the ice apocalypse.

Xaielaosays...

I'm very fearful that EA is going to push this game into a launch window it simply isn't ready for. This trailer is in-engine representation of a pre-alpha game. They have 9 months to finish it and I just don't see them getting a high quality, bug free AAA game out in that time when they aren't even into Alpha yet. I really hope I'm wrong but this is EA and their track record (as well as Dices) speaks otherwise.

Game engine footage from a pc with 4 x titan x with the loadscreens edited out.

Still I guess something had to make Aliens: Colonial Marine's trailer look less like a lie.
