Snowmobile Outruns Avalanche

YouTube Description:

Our 2nd ride of the 2012 season in western Wyoming... my buddy ALMOST got caught in a good sized avalanche. Even after the sled was completely on its side, he recovered and got out of it.

I have to ask: what did he think was going to happen riding a snowmobile up a steep mountainside with several feet of untouched snow on it?

That's what I figured at first too, but then they acted all surprised and concerned about it, and that seems like an unusually dangerous way to go about it (straight up the mountain).

My bet is that he was trying to start an avalanche.
