'Serial' parody reveals what Sarah Koenig is feeling now

Via Mashable: Nobody was prepared for how popular the investigative podcast Serial would become — not even Sarah Koenig, the show's host and executive producer.

The show will air the first season's final episode on Thursday, which focuses on the 1999 murder of Baltimore high school student Hae Min Lee. So far, Koenig has been investigating and reporting on the murder for which Lee's ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed, is currently serving a life sentence.

However, just because Koenig started the investigation, that doesn't necessarily mean she's going to solve the case — despite everyone's wishful thinking.

Funny or Die's parody of the final Serial episode reveals a humorous version of what Koening may be experiencing in the days leading up to the final episode. But it also does a great job of reminding us how the investigation is a real-life situation that affects people's lives, and is not just a fictional tale.
