This is awesome. Some parts were a bit weird though; for instance, when they have a "force standoff" pushing the saber that the guy with glasses dropped back and forth.. why didn't the blue guy just chop his head off. :-)

I loved the Sidious reference, with the pointing fighting style that the glasses guy uses. Good stuff.

Ducking a half second before the other guy begins to take a swing at his head? Nope. Can't buy it. It looked way too much like a choreographed dance. I couldn't believe it, and it didn't look like they did either. First one was way better.

Actually messenger, I think it makes it more real. In reality you want to anticipate your opponents movements and stay just half a second ahead. Course that doesn't usually happen but fact remains, i thinik this one was much better done

good....but the 1st was better. Hang on, I have reasons.
Its fine doing a load of cool moves and stuff, but there were TOO MANY cool moves, and not enough actual fighting. Special effects were superb, of course...as always....not a step backward, but there are still improvements to be made.
However, we musn't forget that these guys did that all themselves, while the star wars team had a whole load of guys, so well done!

I'm with you, messenger. This one was overly long and overly-choreographed. Compared to the first effort, which looks like two guys trying to kill each other, this one looks like tryouts for 'So You Think You Can Duel.' I didn't believe a single punch or kick.

It's the same problem Lucas had with the prequels: he was so busy perfecting 'digital eyelash rendering' the story never advanced beyond the original drafts scrawled on taped-together cocktail napkins.

Weiber actually worked on some SW games for Lucas Arts...must be something in the water there.

well, this video does highlight my main problem with hollywood style sword fights. the idea is to hit your opponent, not your opponent's sword! So in many instances where the opponent is wide open for a strike, the striker goes for the sword instead because it makes a cool clang/spark.
