Paybacksays...You can get this glass as a film (like normal window tint) out of China for around $300-$500 per square metre
(practically a square yard for those in backwards, developmentally-delayed, technologically archaic countries)
antsays...What if it malfunctions?
00Scud00says...It bluescreens, like any windows product.

antjokingly says...Bah, it should be running Linux so we can have kernel panics!
It bluescreens, like any windows product.
spawnflaggersays...The failure mode for most of these is opaque when the power is lost.
They consume ~7W per square yard when they are "on" (transparent).

nocksays...If the power goes out it won't matter if the door is opaque or not. I'd be more worried about what I was pissing on at that point.
Mordhaussays...If the power goes out, the lights go too.
SevenFingerssays...Was that a light shining on the door to make it that color? I'm confused on the way it works. I'm also really really high.

ctrlaltbleachsays...I saw one similar to this on a television show about 5 years ago. Also you should of seen the mens room at a train station in France I went to in 96 it was transparent without any kind of frosting mechanism when you locked the door. I couldn't do it and had to use the ladies which was not transparent.
