Science - The Wrecking Ball Pendulum

YT: Conservation law states that energy can never be created nor destroyed. It can only go into other forms. To prove that the conservation law is absolute, physicist Andreas Wahl releases a wrecking ball of one ton towards his own face.



In the Norwegian TV show "Med livet som innsats" (Life on the line, lit. "With the life at stake") physicist Andreas Wahl puts his own life on the line, trusting 100% on Science and the Laws of Nature to save him, with no safety net.

Here, according to physics and the conservation of energy, a one ton wrecking ball should not smash Andreas' face. Safety nets are for sissies.

still pretty dang scary. my cousins had a game when kids where you'd put your hand on the door frame (where it couldn't get hit) and then someone would slam the door to see if you had the guts not to move your hand.
