gluoniumsays...mmmhm. good luck with that in a fiery accident.
pho3n1xsays...i'm sure there's some sort of emergency release, or at least, i would hope so...
i wonder if you can drive around with the doors down... kinda like riding in a stripped jeep, only not...
also, ever had a sunroof replaced? i wonder what the repair/replace cost will be for that.
antsays...How about in a rain and snow? Gonna be messy, I think.
d00kiesays...i wanna know what happens to the glass, as that would be the most awkward part, as it wouldn't be able to roll up...
Spoon_Gougesays...I don't think the outside rolls up either, just the inside. I believe both doors would slide beneath the car.
Bigboomersays...Wonder how that holds up in a T-bone ?
Yehoshuasays...Probably fine; your current door has only one edge of attachment, and most accidents don't come from the vector (diagonal-top, let's call it), where one would assume this door to be weak.
jmdsays...interesting. Its pretty clear the materials are plyable on both the outside and inside, and yet it still seems pretty shiny. Id love to have this stuff on my door panel.
As for the accident thing, meh, I don't think it would be any worse if either door got mangled, though side impact would probably be more deadly. Powerless situations is a whole nother deal. Unless you had some hand crank on the bottom (security risk), you wouldn't beable to enter your car if your battery died.
