Uncanny valley for the white guy. The Asian dude, though...somehow the real guy was just as devoid of human emotion as the robot.

I'm trying to figure out if a temperature hot enough exists for this puppetry.

Sorry, but these do nothing for me. They haven't really advanced a thing over animatronics already seen in movies.

Do they show them talking? (The hardest thing to make look natural) No, because I bet they look horrible doing it.

Do they show them doing any fine motor skill stuff that'd actually be impressive? No.

Do they show them doing any natural emotional response to anything? Nope.

All we have is some pretty ok ish animatronics, that's it.

Skin texture immediately looks like rubber not skin... I actually think this is wasted effort. If it looked like perfectly sculpted shiny chrome i would probably feel more affinity than this weird dead fake human look the researchers keep trying to go for.

also It's missing bio 'micro' movements. I think your subconscious expects to see slight moving, swaying, breathing, etc. Only dead things are perfectly still.

I wish I had actuators in my torso, anything to help my poor posture.

If you look closely at his chest and shoulders it is making a breathing like movement.
