Robert Steinhaus Talks Nuclear

Robert is a great person, I have had the pleasure of meeting him in person at this years TEAC4 in Chicago. A former LLNL staffer for engineering on Environmental Science issues from nuclear testing, as well as fielding nuclear test shots in Nevada, Robert still feels greatly humbled by the great men he worked under like Dr. Ralph Moir and Dr Teller. While his own personal project favorite is a form of Fusion/Fission hybrid he also sees great promise in liquid fueled thorium reactors.

It is crazy to think about, but in as little as 50 years, we have gone from not understanding what plutonium is, to controlling fission in a stable reactor to create power, and we have people like this to thank for it.

(I'm going to throw this in controversy channel because nuclear power is still rather a sore issue with many)
