This is the original creepy Japanese version from Ringu.

I think the U.S. remake was creepier also, but it was interesting to see the original.

I think it depends on which version you saw first. The first time's always scarier, but I agree the remake ring tape was creepier.

The well just sitting there is quite creepy if you know what happens later on in the movie.
