Bernard Herrmann was one of the all-time great film composers, and this is one of his most memorable scores. Includes the music from the legendary shower scene (at around 5:50).

It really is too bad that Psycho has been ruined by its own sheer brilliance. If you could somehow erase the knowledge of Norman Bates, Mother, etc, from a viewers mind before watching it, it is truly one of those "WTF just happened???" edge-of-your-seat astonishing moments in cinema history.
