Yeah, apart from the lame fast cut fade to black at the beginning, I think this works better as a trailer than the other one - the other shows off lots of goodies, while this is more secretive about it. Looking good. Can't wait to see it!

I frankly wish I hadn't seen the other trailer, rather this one instead. The US spot gave too much away, I'd prefer to go in cold, it's the only way to get the full experience the Director intended.

This trailer is much more subtle and satisfying than the action-orientated U.S trailer with it's shrieking car-alarm soundtrack.

No. But obviously Scott is echoing imagery from the original film, referencing that is probably needed and establishes the film in the same universe.

Scott has commented that this film is not about aliens, but that those looking for some linkage, even small, will find it. I think I like the other 2nd trailer more because it frightens me more, even if its slightly spoilerific.

After seeing both of these, I think I've seen all major plot points now. Wish I hadn't watched either one, but I had to watch them to figure that out.
