wtfcaniuseJust goes to show if the cops are willing to blatantly lie about events that have been recorded so thoroughly then they're gonna lie any time it benefits them personally or their image.
It's not a few bad apples, it's a few good cops and massive corruption.
visionepsays...Anyone in authority should lose their pension, if they won't follow directives from civilian authorities then they are rogue military actors and must be dealt with as such.
ButtleThis is called "kettling". It may be against the written policies of the Philadelphia PD, but it's a widespread police tactic. It was widely publicized during the Occupy Wall Street protests.

Janussays...I don't know that I necessarily agree that all police departments should have the entire force fired and start back from scratch, though at the bare minimum they all need to be fully audited by a non-police (and preferably non-government) group and have any remotely problematic officers fired and added to a list to ensure they legally can't be re-hired as a police officer anywhere else.
However, this video serves as a pretty strong rebuttal; this department looks like it should in fact have the entire force fired and start over from a clean slate.
eoesays..."...and apologized for their response to the protest".
Aw, gee guys. I'm sorry about that, you know, illegal and violent behaviour that we did to y'all. I swear it won't happen again.
vilLooks fairly intentional, what is the objective here?
Who ordered this?
JesusismypilotObscenely biased reporting. Which is too bad since the basic truth of the seemingly cornered protesters was a bad situation that the cops may or may not have known about.
"Cars were like honking in support of us."
Lol, no, you're an idiot blocking an interstate.
newtboyObscenely biased comment.
The cops definitely knew exactly what they were doing, knew the area, and knew that where they directed the protesters had no exit. Don't act naive to excuse them. It makes you complicit.
Some clearly were honking in support, not all.
