Pastor Prays For Obama's Death

what he says at the end is right on
Skeevesays...

I want to know how people can get their own religion so screwed up. It's bad enough to believe this stuff in the first place, but this guy actually goes against the Bible - a book he calls the inspired word of god.

There is only one reference to anything resembling imprecatory prayer in the New Testament... and it is Jesus rebuking James and John for suggesting it. (Luke 9:54-56). James and John ask Jesus if they can pray to kill some Samaritans with fire from heaven and Jesus says, "You do not know what kind of spirit you are of, for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them."

Ok, so this guy got that one wrong. What else did he get wrong? How about Romans 13:1-2: "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves."

Ok, so this pastor sees Obama as his enemy? Jesus says in Matthew 5:43-45, "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven."

Maybe this guy should have read his Bible...
