Why the hell do people do this stupid shit knowing that it'll be released on the Internet?

I think the stupid shit component was the point. This looks like it started off as a parody of sorts, and then the guy doing it actually got hurt in the process.

This is a *parody for sure, and a good one, though too short. This is not a Star Wars Kid situation. This is a filmmaker with very carefully planned and rehearsed action. The whole thing is well made: the opening, choice of shooting location, angles, light, variety of tricks, editing, music etc. I'm sure each trick was filmed several times. There's no way including that fall was an accident, though it was a bad choice. It burst the parody effect and turned it into a "fail" vid.

No it fails as a parody for me because the guy is too physically uncoordinated. Chris Farley, John Belushi, etc. are big fat co-ordinated fat guys who make it look funny when they act like uncoordinated spazzes. I wouldn't trust this guy to approach me carrying a hot cup of coffee..

I wouldn't say he's uncoordinated until the last failed stunt, and even then you can hear his hand slide out from under him on the hood of the car.

Beware the dangers of car wax, people!

Yeah I watched it again and he's not that uncoordinated. It's still not a good parody to me. The choice of Eye of the Tiger bugs me more. Some really trashy eurotrance might be funnier. I need to get out more...
