Palestinian Doctor's Family Bombed During Live Israeli Repor

Saturday morning, a Palestinian doctor who reports for Israel's channel 10 television witnessed three of his daughters hit by Israeli bombs.

Israeli officials said shells were dropped in response to sniper fire in the area.

Dr. Ezzeldeen Abu al-Ashi is a Palestinian physician who works for an Israeli hospital and has been giving Israelis daily reports on the military campaign in Gaza.

This video was published by Al Jazeera English on Jan. 17.

>> I don't blame God for this. God pulled no triggers and gave no orders.
The mess there is man-made.

I don't blame god for this either.
I blame folks that think their gods gave them orders to bomb the other side.

I am glad this video hit the top 15 as I think more people need to see what's really happening on the ground and I have a sneaking suspicion that this won't be on CNN.

I initially saw another version which had captions. It was the broadcast from the Israel station (not Al Jazeera). Absolutely gut wrenching.

Darkhandsays...

As I've gotten older I realized I started to care less about conflicts. I realize that for me if I can't actually be there I feel like I'll never get to the truth of what is happening. Personally I don't care to risk my life and/or invest that much time.

Therefore I just withdraw myself from taking sides.

IMO If Hamas was firing rockets into Israel from Gaza and nobody was stopping them Israel is justified in their actions to stop these attacks no matter how small or insignificant anyone says the rockets were. If you're not going to police your own nation then that's what you get. No reason for Israel to send in a lot ground troops and risk their own people just drop bombs from the sky (Iraq has proven this to me).

However I hear all these theories that Israel made up the rockets to start the conflict, Israel planted their own troops to fire the rockets, Israel this, Israel that.

So therefore I'll take my Bright Side Sunday with Dark Side sprinkles and wait for the Drama to end.

maybe i just watched a linkin park vid too soon before this one and thats why i cried. either way.. each invididual, israeli and palestinian, have the same hopes and dreams for their children... that needs to be common enough ground. educate the next generation and non-violence may overwhelm the hate and hurt. it feels horrible to know we did this in iraq and other countries without news or phones... but... i guess maybe feeling horrible is a good thing when it's well deserved.

sniper fire... yeah, they're not even trying to come up with plausible reasons anymore.

morbid though, but it reminds me of using weapons cheats in a first-person shooter; 'was that pistol shot from that window? better send a few rockets that way, along with half a dozen grenades.'

Unfortunately, if you don't send troops into Gaza, the rockets will never stop.

And if you do send troops into Gaza, they will murder innocent people on a whim. I've seen a video of a protester being shot in the gut with an M16 assault rifle.

Chances are that man is dead right now.

Even if Israel was to launch a full-scale invasion of Palestine and permanently take control of it, the attacks would never stop: it would only get worse.

There is no solution. Even if Hamas was to actually order a real, permanent cease-fire. People would do it themselves and a new organization would be born sooner or later.
