From his myspace page: "Description: Lead security guard, Jim Walker experiences a mental breakdown after his wife is mistaken for someone else and viciously killed. Afterwards, Jim develops an unhealthy fascination with Melody, the new female employee who looks eerily similar to his deceased wife. Jim’s new interest quickly turns into an uncontrollable obsession.
While using his vast array of tools and gadgets in the security industry to harmlessly stalk Melody, he uncovers that her life is endangered by the same person who killed his wife. Jim must come to grips with his loss or be sent over the edge, leading him to do the unthinkable."

qruelThis film got me fired from my job.
I was working graveyard shift in the video department for Bass Pro Shops at their corporate headquarters. I had the run of the place, all to myself. A buddy of mine had just been accepted to The American Film Institute, mainly from a short he did, which inspired me to do one. So with a warehouse room full of video equipment (and the blessings of my boss) I set off to make my first short film.
After it was complete I created a website (from the perspective of the stalker, with creepy journal)

and sent it off to film festivals. I actually had the dvmagazine film festival call me to make sure it was "just" a film (idiots??).
The film did really well and i got into about 15 film festivals, even winning about $10k worth of equipment from Sony (& AFI film festival)
But my good luck was not to last, cause somehow, one of the higher ups at work got wind of the website and film. The next thing I knew they had setup security sign ins and check points and I no longer had a job.
my15minutesespecially liked some of those shot transitions, to and from a photograph. good editing, too.
interesting to have it set to, what would normally be, a snappy little tune.

9058Big upvote here, to bad I can only give one. Credits where kinda fast (though i liked how they were synced up to the heart beat) but i had to keep pausing it to see the names. I know some might say "who cares" but hey as a film guy I like to read the credits, sorry
