Goofball_Jonessays...I hate when these people who have no sense of history try to take down someone like Welles. Yes, he was arrogant, but unlike other arrogant people, he could back it all up. Sure, the peas clip is funny in a way, but don't dare try to judge the entire life of the man over a little clip.
It's actually kind of sad. He co-wrote and directed arguably the greatest movie ever made at the ripe old age of 23, then went on to make other great movies (Touch of Evil being one of them). Then he was reduced to doing silly commercials and appearances on The Tonight Show. He was never given a chance again really. So yeah, he was a tad bitter, and arrogant and a total pain in the ass to work for. But this man gave us Citizen Kane and I will forgive him of being like this.
