Oroville Spillways Phase 2 Update August 31, 2018

YouTube description:

Work continues through the night and into the morning hours on the Oroville Spillway. Structural concrete, destined for an upper chute slab, is cooled with liquid nitrogen to maximum temperature requirements. A concrete truck makes its way through the construction site to a pump truck located adjacent to the chute. Concrete is loaded into the hopper and pumped to the placement crew positioned on the upper spillway. The concrete is placed into the forms for the erosion-resistant concrete (ERC) structural slabs. During finishing of the slabs, other nearby crews fly in steel and forms for a future wall.
