No video?

Hmmm... onion videos seem to be non-functional. Just tried to submit another and embed code is reading not valid. *discuss

Onion videos are fine for me. It seems the "official" support for a couple of video hosts went down in the crash. Problems have been mentioned alot around here, and it's always sub-gold members that have the problems with hosts such as CollegeHumor, Onion, Vimeo, etc...

The embed code itself looks ok. It's just missing the opening 'embed' tag. (The closing tag is there.) Perhaps the 'Validate' button is removing a little more than it should. I know it will strip out certain extraneous code included by some hosts.

I've noticed this on Onion embeds for about a month. What I have done is taken the embed code from an older Onion video that was already sifted and modifying it with info from the new embed source. I had to change the number for the VideoID, the image= source, and the title= source. Here's this one:

I sent Lucky a message about this a number of weeks back (before 3/11) but he never got back to me on it. The Onion changed how their embed code and VideoSift's 'validate' seems to destroy it...

Ok it seems the embed code gets messed up during the submission process. However, that doesn't explain how some people can't submit videos from hosts like CollegeHumor or Vimeo, while higher ranked members can. I think that problem might be related to the crash after all.
