O RLY? YA RLY.

Awesome slow-mo too.

^Or they (the film crew) may have incapacitated those mice in some way too. Unethical natural photographers have been exposed as resorting to setups like that before. I've owned numerous rodents, and I can tell you that they are hard to catch COMPLETELY off guard, and in this film footage all but one of those mice even moved at all. I suspect that in a more realistic capture we would have seen an owl catching a running mouse, but that would be much more difficult to get on film.

I still upvoted it because it's cool to see birds of prey in action, but I suspect FOUL PLAY!

beautiful birds..

Yeah kronos, this looks a bit set up.. =)

what's amazing tho, is that they can hear a mice under the snow from pretty far away, and know exactly where it is, and simply grab it trough the snow..
while we humans sometimes manage to hear the truck right before it hits us..

Chaucersays...

Guys... Owls can fly silently. Their feathers are built in such a way that they dont make a sound when moving through the air. I doubt any of these mice were anything but stupid for sitting out in the middle of the field.
