I like everything I've seen about the movie so far. Maybe it's due to the fact that I've never seen the original TV series. Just a few of the movies.

I'm a big TNG fan, though, so maybe that's it.

Being related to William Shattner, I like the original Star Trek series, and Next Gen, (Voyager was a piece of crap). This movie seems to be a fresh and interesting look at life before the series.
