Drachen_Jagersays...Bill Maher thinks vaccinations might cause autism.
He's a comedian and a bit of an idiot.
Can we please stop listening to him now?
Babymechsays...If it's ok with you, we'll keep hearing people out, and giving them credit when they make sense, and giving them shit when they're full of it. That seems to be a lot more useful.

Drachen_Jagersays...Yes, let's hear the anti-vaxer, evolution-denying, flat-Earther perspective to be "fair and balanced".
Good plan. How's that working out for America?

newtboysays...Since you apparently refuse to listen to people who disagree with your position, how do you even know what their positions are to contradict them?
Bill is NONE of these things you list, he doesn't deny evolution, he's not a flat earther, he's not even an anti-vaxer...he's just not a proponent of FLU vaccines, but I've never heard him speak against vaccines for specific virulent diseases. (FLU is not a single disease, BTW, in case you don't know).
Yeah, how is not listening to different points of view working for you?

bareboards2says...I don't think that was a Freudian slip. I think it was a way to make a choice and take it back, even as you make it.
Rather brilliant, actually.
But as a joke? Doesn't work if you don't know for sure he meant it. If you have to explain it.
In my opinion, of course. I could be wrong. And if I am wrong, then it isn't brilliant.
Ha.
Drachen_Jagerjokingly says...What was that? I didn't really read any of it.
I'm confident you're still an idiot for saying it though.

newtboyjokingly says...I did read yours, so my confidence that you're an idiot is based on actual evidence rather than wishful 'thinking'.

vilsays...So Bill, apparently, after superficial google research, is not actually against vaccinations, he is against flu vaccinations and he argues in favor of hearing out people who are against vaccinations in case they have some valid objections. Bill´s not my favourite but he´s OK.
Flu vaccinations for the general public are probably a waste of resources. Flu changes quickly and its probably only worthwhile to vaccinate people who might be killed by it. The old and weak.
Also this wasn´t Bills best clip ever. That throwing up joke is... old and weak. And invoking Sophie is like invoking Hitler.
newtboyjokingly says...Yes, let's not be allowed to hear the anti-vaxer, evolution-denying, flat-Earther, unofficial perspective in order to more easily feel "superior" to them.
Good plan. How's that working out for North Korea?
