Skydive for Rhinos is a national fundraising campaign of the African Conservation Trust, a non-profit based in Pietermaritzburg KZN. Our goal is to raise R10million for rhino conservation and protection in South Africa.

100% of funds in the ACT Rhino Fund will be used to improve rhino protection and anti-poaching efforts in hard-hit regions throughout South Africa. Key anti-poaching needs that will benefit include training anti-poaching teams in advanced skills, provision of specialised equipment for anti-poaching teams and extending aerial surveillance support to a wider range of rhino-bearing reserves. Interventions that include education, awareness and job creation in rural communities close to game reserves will also be supported.

The nucleus of the campaign are the Skydive for Rhinos event where people pay/raise a minimum of R5000 to do a tandem skydive all in the name of SA's rhinos. We started in Rustenburg on the 28th and 29th of July, then moved to Eston (KZN) in the middle of August, Port Elizabeth at the beginning of September and then we were down in Robertson on the weekend of World Rhino Day (22-24th September) where Steve joined two other guys and did his naked jump!
