antsays...:~)
curiousitysays...Thank you for the sift. That was nice to watch.
jimnmssays...I saw this a couple of days ago and thought about sifting it. I don't quite get what's going on. I get the part that the homeless guy's family has been looking for him and finally found him, and then set up this fancy reunion. What I want to know is why did the guy leave his family?
lordneptunesays...I took it more as the mother leaving him (given her expression when they first see each other, and while the daughter was hugging him), which broke him down to the point of becoming homeless. My guess is that the daughter initiated the search for her dad.
Definitely a tear jerker, though, and a *quality video.>> ^jimnms:

siftbotsays...Invocations (quality) cannot be called by lordneptune because lordneptune is not privileged - sorry.
Kevlarsays...Man, Leonidas has really let himself go.
kronosposeidonsays...From Vimeo: This is a short-film I wrote and directed for LG Portugal. The concept, "Life's good" was the main purpose of this work.
So it is a *viral *shortfilm, but a very good one. Thanks for posting this.
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Shortfilms, Viral) - requested by kronosposeidon.
mentalitysays...Seems like a cheap and contrived way to manipulate the audience's emotions. How many homeless people (with great dental hygiene!) have perfect loving beautiful families waiting for them?
Kinda belittles the complexities of a serious problem, but a nice fantasy despite it all.
maatcsays...Because @lordneptunes invocation did not work earlier, allow me to say: *quality!
siftbotsays...Boosting this quality contribution up in the Hot Listing - declared quality by maatc.

I know some of his other work since like me he is portuguese and I think the same thing about all his stuff. He has a good eye for the technical details but his scripts are always ridiculously maudlin and designed to please the cute cat obsessed multitudes, "Oh, that is so nice and redeeming!"
BLERG!
This short is especially annoying since I just rewatched the entirety of The Wire (watch it! do it!) and I keep thinking of the complexity of the Bubbles character when compared to this tripe.
He should really get a new writer or something.

Totally agree...this would've been a lot cooler if it:
A. Had something to do with reality
B. Had nothing to do with a giant corporation such as LG
Then maybe it would've actually moved me instead of setting off my bullshit alarms. It was really well made, and I was on board until the mom/daughter/whatever actually showed up. The random bums and guy in the car cheering really sealed the fail...praying on the empathy of people who can't hold their emotions back for half a second and use their brains. That's the kind of crap that happens in Michael Bay movies, OK?
blankfistsays...Homeless people smell like urine.
robbersdog49says...This feels just too contrived to make it really emotional.
