Mac vs. PC...the Transformers version

Inspired by Transformers, this short Visual Effects piece shows us what really goes on inside our home computers ... that's right, they're robots, and they wanna beat the f#!@ out of each other. (From YouTube)

They should have just taken out the human actors. They were horrible and the piece could have stood on its own. Or at lease eliminate the dialog. PC and Mac users sitting next to each other, they get up to get something, the machines fight. Done.

A bit lacking in pacing, but the last couple of minutes are enjoyable...smart ending, too.

Ball bearings - nice touch. And the whole "beat you with your hand bit. HA HA HA HA HA HA - UPGRADING TO VISTA. Harsh. And hilarious.

And then, the rescue call. Brilliant.

I thought the 'Upgrading to Windows XP' bit was great . Vista's been fine for me though, I've been liking it so far. Not experienced the slow performance they're alluding to...

On the other hand, this just plays in to the manufactured 'rivalry' between the two brands. All that petty squabble does is polarise the weak willed in to one end of the brand-loyalty spectrum, with no drastically real gains at either side. But, MS and Apple couldn't give two shits, they just know this feud breeds fanatics.

Hence, (in all good humour) my upvote is nullified... sorry Zif

The PC lasted way too long without a crash.
