Time travel awesomeness, starring Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, directed by Rian Johnson (Brick, The Brothers Bloom). Is it September yet?

according to interview they CGI'd Joseph's face with key features of Bruce Willis, so Bruce would pass for a future version of Joseph. Since they play the same character.

Also

from the screenplay to explain the premise a tiny bit more.

After a Looper kills himself, he becomes retired, but he won't know when of course. He would then get to live out his life with the money he's made until the point where he's sent back in time to be killed, therefore closing the loop.

This looks sick. Levitt sounded quite a lot like willis at the end when he was shouting.

I've been DYING to see bruce willis back in a good action film. He's got so many films in him if the right films are made. He could turn into the next clint eastwood style hardass if you ask me.

MAN i love bruce. Can't wait. He's such a good action star. Makes films good, for me.

The premise doesn't make sense. Why would you want to kill yourself?

You live like a king until you get sent back in time. A lot of people would see that as a fair trade, being as it's going to be at least 30 years of the high life.

I want this to be good...and I'm sure the movie will do a better job explaining the premise then the trailer...but...what is the advantage of sending someone back in time to then be assassinated?

Much harder for the cops to investigate a murder when there's no body, no murder weapon, and even no murderer to be found.

Wow, I'm amazed so many people are excited by this trailer.

I liked the concept when I heard about it. Was happy with the two leads. But then watched the trailer (after avoiding the THREE trailer trailers, seriously, QUIT it with trailers for trailers), and was entirely MEH.

It may just be a shit trailer and the movie may be great, but I'm feeling nothing but MEH for this film currently.

Just to say it:

DUBSTEP sounds...

..In the soundtrack of a major motion picture. VERY interesting to hear. I've been very pessimistic on the whole non-musical dubstep trend, and in general the genre has been very negative in contributing to the electronic scene.. BUT it has etched a few new instrument types (song-interrupting filter sweeps, whompy sounds, etc.) into the electronic genre and are now being seen in mainstream music, and change is always a wonderful thing.

Still...there's gotta be 1,000 simpler ways. I'm sure there has to be more to it then just that.>> ^Sarzy:
