Les Demoiselles de Rochefort - Marins, Amis, Amants ou Maris

"Sailors -- Friends, Lovers, or Husbands"

Beautifully colorful musical from the same people who did "Les parapluies de Cherbourg". If you like that Flight of the Conchords song where they're singing in French, this is the real thing.

Saw this film for the first time about 7 years ago in France. Knocked me over! Had never heard of it before. There are a couple of Americans in the movie. There are also a couple of Brits. I do believe that George Chakiris was the only one whose voice was not dubbed over because he speaks several languages (I could be wrong!!). It has become my favorite musical ever. Beautiful LeGrande music. Beautiful colors. Beautiful Demy ending.
