While I don't normally go for fantasy movies structured like this one, they did everything so damn well it's hard to not like the movie.

True, sacred the shit outta me back in the day. One of those movies thats just so 80's. Magic and fantasy and the best bad guy on the planet, long before there was Harry Potter and LOTR. And Tom Cruise before he went bat shit crazy! Oh yeah ans Unicorns..... whoot whoot

Also, I actually love the Tangerine Dream music over the original music... don't know if sifters have seen the "director's cut" but it is actually kinda crap in both music and editing...

... The waltz from this scene is FAR more interesting than the original music.

The person that made it also said they removed all the extra little distracting noises from the original film, I think it translates far better this way, simpler, stripped down. beautiful : )
