lucky760says...*long *quality (despite the commercials)
Very, very fascinating to get such a behind-the-scenes look at the Yakuza.

Boosting this quality contribution up in the Hot Listing - declared quality by lucky760.
Throbbinsays...Excellent sift EndAll. I have always been fascinated by the Yakuza (and the Triads), and this was a revealing glimpse into their world.
I would also say that that reporter lives in a certain amount of *fear.
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Fear) - requested by Throbbin.
eric3579says...Great sift, and how can you not love Lara Logan. She's the bees knees.
dagsays...Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag.(show it anyway)
Fantastic post - glad to see that Lara is still shaking things up.
gwiz665says...I'm gonna put *commercial on there for the incessant commercials by CBS. Otherwise great sift.

zomgunicornssays...Guess the mob boss and his buddies couldn't have picked a better country to get his liver. The hospital and FBI seemed to welcome them with open arms

fjulessays..."It's not illegal in Japan to be a part of organized crime" oh wow...WTF???
Avokineoksays...she... is... hot...
Lara Logan is a mix of Naomi Watts and Scarlett Johansson (though they are both even hotter)
EndAllsays...Indeed she is. I'm not sure if her looks are a hindrance more than a help when reporting, though. Beauty can be distracting! And she often brings quite controversial issues to the table in her reports, things that the public should pay attention to and be informed of... but as I've observed, she does do her job very well - sincere, persistent, to the point.. so I think it balances out pretty well.
swedishfriendsays...Being part of a group shouldn't be illegal nor an excuse. One should only be responsible for ones own individual actions. That seems fair to me.

Tymbrwulfsays...Omg I just realized... this is a asia video about japan that doesn't have a wtf tag....

Omg I just realized... this is a asia video about japan that doesn't have a wtf tag....
Ahhh, but this is about facts, not the "culture".
Paybacksays...Me, when I read "Lara Logan reports on the Yakuza" I thought, "Really? Have they found her corpse yet?"
I figure the only reason Adelstein is still alive is due more to the disgrace of the one boss and Adelstein's apparent "friendship" with the rival boss than to the Tokyo police. The police probably just make sure he doesn't go anywhere he shouldn't. If the Yakuza really wanted him dead, he would be dead.
Ralghasays..."So you live in darkness?"
"Actually, I have lights in my house... you know, electric lights. Very useful invention."
