deputydogA case as high-profile as this and they couldn't even find a judge to take it by the horns.
Farhad2000Maybe it's reverse? He's crying because he got this case... I bet he pulled the short stick.
KrupoHe'd been chopping onions in his study, and they got stuck all over his robes and... yeah I can't make sense of this either. Good collective classification!
joedirtCan't lose his job. Probate is non-elected Judge position. I thought he did rather well in 5 days with open court.
Really, any idiot can figure out next of kin decides place of burial, AND her wishes were clearly to be buried next to her son who died 6 months ago. She just dealt with funeral and bought 4 plots when Daniel died.
I think he was crying over the sad state of her drugged up life, and how sad it was that all this lawyering took place and fighting over simple paternity test, just cause the baby is a cash cow. It is really sad that she had to move to Bahamas to keep Stern as father (Bahamian law) and also that she couldn't bury Daniel in California because kid and Stern would be slapped with paternity suit and testing.
(Yep, Stern killed her)
deputydogHe stopped 'doing well' when he started blubbing.
mlxHe's crying because his 15 minutes of fame are over.
deputydogThe guy shouldn't be in a real courtroom / involved with a real case.....
'Last week Seidlin declared, "The body belongs to me. " From then 'til now, he's zigzagged his way to his much-anticipated ruling in his small piece of the Smith case.
He told one female lawyer she was beautiful. On the bench, he took cell phone calls from his wife. He confessed to a personal squeamishness on the subject of dying.
"This is the one area I always ran away from - the death," Seidlin said, very much without being asked.
Outside the courtroom, his wife, Belinda, gave interviews about how great he'd be hosting his own TV show.'
rickegeeGo for the Oscar!
shameful
swampgirlHe should have called Judge Ito up for tips on how to draw the hearing out longer.
rickegeeIndeed.
Judge Seidlin probably started weeping when he saw the camera trucks pulling out. Don't suffer, Larry, there is a small cable outlet out there somewhere for you.
This is Exhibit #6983 why there should not be cameras in the courtroom. TV makes lawyers/judges/wishful thespians weird.
And yes, Stern definitely killed ANS and her son.
deputydogHe'll have a show by the end of the year
ravenW-T-F? You know, it's actually kind of fitting that the judge for this trial would be an unstable camera whore.
ravenI hope to god Henry Winkler plays him in whatever made-for-tv piece of crap they make about this!
arnorsays...Ah, yes! Pull out the oscars - the judge is going to TV! (Well, his wife sais he should, anyways - and the Times makes a big fuzz about it..)
deputydogWhat a shocker.
swampgirl"I hope to god Henry Winkler plays him in whatever made-for-tv piece of crap they make about this!"
Raven, I thought the same thing, lol. Must be the accent.
LadyBugi was thinking along the lines of what joe said ... i think the whole sad mess of anna's life which was brought forth in her death was a bit too much for him ... i just really feel sad for that baby ...
i've said before that i will never understand why stern never sought medical help for her multiple addictions ... but he really, really loved her .... mmhmm
rossprudensays...No no no no no no no... you're are missing the bigger picture! Her life is too bizarre to be made into a Movie of the Week or feature film -- but a MUSICAL would be perfect!!
KrupoI'm wondering if there's some efficient way to add "unstable camera whore" to the tags....
winkler1This guy is a boob..hope he gets no minutes of 'fame' at all.. they've been showing entirely too much of him on Countdown.
president_palmerWhat ever happened to REAL news?
quantumushroomIt's Dharma's dad from Dharma and Greg.
LadyBugyes!yes!yes, quantumushroom!!! (i'm almost positive that's the first time you've heard that here!
) but, YES! that's exactly who he reminds me of and i couldn't put my finger on!!! ty!
