Both of these scenarios remind me of something that I think more people who voted for Obama should have been aware of--he's a politician.

A very canny politician indeed, and one who seems to have both a genuine social conscience and the intellect to work to pass good legislation. Which is why I voted for him.

But that doesn't mean he won't compromise, cavil, vacillate, and equivocate like anyone else in DC.

I am fully with him on the pictures deal..there is zero reason we need to see them just like we don't need to see child porn to know it actually happens. We just need to know that it is no longer being done.

The gay thing however... yea. I'm with jon on this one.. just plain stupid.
