gbfunksays...Very entertaining. Jay Leno knows his cars. A wonderful sift!
Xaxsays...Those wanting to go right to the action can skip to the 10:00 remaining mark.
Wow, that was very cool. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I didn't even realize such things ever existed.
deathcowsays...if you havent looked through his website at his ton of vids, you should
NicoleBeesays...Oh, man. This is so cool. Does Leno have an open-to-the-public museum for his collection?
Trancecoachsays...Jay seems to be the perpetual boy. The puer, it's called in psychological parlance... peter pan syndrome, if you will. I suppose this is cool for some, but I find most of this fascination (with cars, etc.) pretty laughable.
12886says...Neat car, that was cool. But the videographers who shot this should be, well, shot. Simply abysmal handheld work, and cliche'd editing. Bleh.
Sketchsays...What's wrong with the man appreciating the beauty of the design and engineering of these machines? He's so truly interested and invested in the history of the automotive industry that he actually knows how to run a Stanley Steamer, for Christ's sake. If he's got the cash, let him have his collection.
deathcowsays...Well, I think it's AWESOME and you can bet the moment I have 100's of millions of dollars I'm building a big-assed garage with a CNC mill/lathe section, lubrication station, lifts and lots of memorabilia thats anything but laughable thats insanely cool.

cybrbeastsays...Very cool to see this car. Especially Leno almost blowing up and the steam venting at the end.
Here is an article on a steam car that is much superior to this one. It was ready to start in forty second and was ignited by key, not by hand.

xxovercastxxsays...makes me wonder what a modern steam car could be.
radxsays...Well, at least you wouldn't have people driving to their bloody mailbox or a 7-11 down the road.
Big ups for Leno though, he knows what he's doing.
StukaFoxsays...Yeah, Stanley Steamer almost kills Leno? That's nothing -- this morning's Cleavland Steamer damn near killed me! Last time I ever eat a load of Velveeta and a pound of unshelled sunflower seeds on a drunken dare!
Mazesays...Great sift, really enjoyed that.
